In almost any area you can imagine, new construction is steadily popping up in the form of townhouses, condominiums, single

homes and recently there has been an increase in the “over-55 communities.”

Many of the properties are absolutely beautiful with open kitchen area, over-sized family rooms, and upgrades that you have

not yet imagined, there are still many pitfall that you might get into in regard to new construction. Not to mention all of

the delays, building defects and cost over runs.

Because of the many pitfalls, it is imperative that buyers become completely familiar with their legal rights. The time to

At one time buying a home was the American Dream. Here lately, that dream more frequently becomes a nightmare. If you follow my directions step by step, your new home construction will not become a nightmare.

First one of my most important suggestions is the use of a third party inspector. Be sure to include in the contract that you plan to use a third party inspector, as some builders try to limit your presence or the presence of your representative on the property to at most two or three walk thru inspections to see how the process is going. This just simply is not sufficient. You need your inspector to frequently visit the property to make sure all is going well..

There is a lot of shoddy building going on out there and you do not want to be a recipient of one of those homes.
